Tanner Patrick
Baru 'ketemu' sama Tanner Patrick! Bukan ketemu langsung gitu bukan, yea gue baru aja nemuin cowok itu di youtube. hmmmm emang bener-bener manis bangeeeeet. Mungkin dia bakal ngegantiin posisi Alex Goot di pikiran gue......-_- okaay balik lagi ke Tanner. Mungkin dia kayak penyanyi-penyanyi cover lain, yang bikin beda itu sorotan matanya, lo harus liat matanya Tanner baru tau gimana dia nyihir lo dengan sorotan matanya itu. Aseeliii langsung terpesona. Okay gue lebay tapi emang itu yang gue rasain pas liat mata dia. Is London the most expensive city in the world?, demikian
keraguan saya. Berita yang saya dengar juga info dari beberapa teman
menyatakan demikian. Info ini tentu membuat saya “berhati-hati” karena
dompet saya tidaklah cukup tebal untuk dikonversi ke pounds
saat berkunjung ke kota London. Berdasarkan survey yang dilakukan
CityMayors, lembaga independen yang fokus pada urban affairs, tahun
2008 London berada di peringkat 1 sebagai the most expensive city
in the world. Namun berdasarkan survey tahun 2009 yang juga
dilakukan oleh CityMayors, peringkat 1-nya adalah Oslo sedangkan London
melorot ke peringkat 21. Menurut CityMayors, hal ini terkait dengan
devaluasi mata uang poundsterling. Lalu apakah benar London
sudah tidak mahal lagi? Saya pun membuktikannya.
Awalnya saya ingin memesan Hotel Ibis di dekat Bandara Heathrow
yang tarifnya sekitar 40 pounds/night (Rp 600.000). Tapi atas
saran atasan yang memang orang British, dengan memperhitungkan
ongkos transportasi dari Heathrow ke London, menginap
di hotel sekitar Heathrow bukan pilihan yang tepat karena
jatuhnya nanti bisa lebih mahal. Maka dipilihlah Hotel Ibis di Earls
Court, Central London. Tarifnya 85 pounds/night
alias Rp 1.275.000/malam. Pfff, teramat mahal untuk kelas hotel
bintang tiga. Di Indonesia, dengan tarif segitu pasti sudah dapat tidur
di hotel bintang lima. Harga segitu belum termasuk breakfast
sebesar 8 pounds (Rp 120.000). Saat breakfast, daging
yang disajikan adalah daging babi. Jadilah saya cuma sarapan dengan roti
dan sup plus perasaan nyesek.
Mau jalan-jalan melihat kota London?
Anda bisa mengunakan tube, kereta api bawah tanah, seharga 4 pounds
(Rp 90.000). Jika memilih bus kota, Anda harus membayar tiket seharga 4
pounds per hari. Artinya tiket tersebut berlaku selama 1 hari
sesuai tanggal yang tertera pada tiket dan walaupun anda keluar-masuk
bus puluhan kali ke berbagai jurusan. Mau naik bus 2 tingkat dengan atap
terbuka (top off)? Bus ini adalah bus dengan tujuan
tempat-tempat wisata di London. Tarifnya lebih mahal dari bus
kota yaitu sekitar 9 – 12 pounds/hari atau Rp 135.000 – Rp
180.000/hari. Ingin mencoba taksi? Monggo, tapi
bersiaplah merogoh kocek lebih dalam. Saat saya naik taksi pada malam
hari untuk makan malam, perjalanan yang cuma sekitar 5 menit, argo taksi
menunjukkan angka 12 pounds (Rp 150.000)! Ih, ngeriii!
Anda penggemar English Premier League? Saat saya menonton
pertandingan Fulham vs Liverpool di Craven Cottage, 31 Oktober
2009, harga tiketnya 49 pounds (Rp 735.000). Jangan berpikir
kalau ini tiket VIP, ini cuma tiket duduk biasa. Yang membuat gondok,
gara-gara fans Liverpool yang tidak mau duduk sepanjang pertandingan,
saya harus menonton sambil berdiri selama 2 x 45 menit. Sudah mahal,
berdiri pula! Harga tiket sangat tergantung tim yang bertanding. Derby
match tiketnya lebih mahal. Apalagi harga tiket pertandingan
tim-tim elite seperti Chelsea, MU, atau Arsenal.
Mau menonton partai big match? Bersiaplah membayar lebih dari
85 pounds atau Rp 1.275.000!
Kebelet pipis di tempat umum? Jangan kawatir, toilet umum banyak
tersedia. Syaratnya Anda harus memasukkan koin sebesar 3 penny
(Rp 4.500) untuk sekali masuk toilet. Setidaknya, sebanyak itulah yang
harus saya bayar di toilet Victoria Station.
Ingin beli oleh-oleh untuk keluarga atau teman? Sepanjang hasil
survey saya di beberapa tempat, suvenir paling murah adalah gantungan
kunci yang bisa didapat dengan 3 pounds (Rp 45.000). Piringan
kecil (collectable plate) yang bergambar objek-objek wisata
paling murah harganya 5 pounds. Kaos sepak bola sekitar 12-15 pounds.
Miniatur Big Ben atau Buckingham Palace paling murah 8
pounds. Buset!
Perut terasa lapar? Restoran cepat saji mungkin bisa jadi pilihan.
Saya membeli paket yang paling murah di McDonald’s yang terdiri
dari burger, kentang goreng, dan minuman. Harganya sekitar 4 pounds
(Rp 90.000). Menurut saya, fast food adalah pilihan makanan
paling murah di London. Jika ingin irit lupakan deh
restoran selain fast food, pasti harganya lebih mahal.
Bagaimana dengan internet? Saat berada di Hotel Ibis, saya ingin
menggunakan jaringan hot spot. Saat saya mencoba mengakses
jaringan hot spot, berhubung saya adalah tamu hotel maka
tarifnya kalau saya tidak salah 3 pounds/jam. Bener-bener
deh, saya yang sudah membayar kamar hotel seharga 1,275 juta masih
juga harus membayar 45 ribu rupiah untuk koneksi hot spot! Niat
saya ber-internet langsung saja saya batalkan dengan dongkol. Saya coba
koneksi jaringan hot spot lainnya yang masih terdeteksi di
sekitar hotel. Tak ada satu pun yang gratis, semua harus bayar! Saat
berada di Bandara Heathrow, saya coba lagi untuk terkoneksi hot
spot. Hasilnya tetap sama, tidak ada yang gratis. Ampun deh,
nih kota pelitnya emang nggak ketulungan.
Masak kalah dengan Indonesia. Kalau cuma pengen dapetin hot spot,
tinggal ke mall lalu berinternet sampai pegel dan GRATIS!
